**Key Responsibilities**
Reports to the Microbiologist/ QA Executive or Manager through the Laboratory Supervisor for the following duties:

- To conduct on site sampling of food samples, raw materials and water & ice for internal or external laboratory test;
- To conduct on site sampling for hygiene swabs (hand swabs, surface swabs) and environmental microbiological air sampling for internal or external laboratory test;
- To perform microbiological analysis for food samples, raw material, water & ice and hygiene swabs (hand swabs, surface swabs) and environmental microbiological air sampling tests, as and when required;
- To analyze the internal / external laboratory test results promptly and monitor for any irregular trends; and notify Lab Supervisor/ Microbiologist/ QA Executive or Manager immediately for any specific instruction, if there is any unsatisfactory or abnormal test results;
- To follow up on the unsatisfactory test samples results and communicate to Ops stakeholders promptly, arranging for re-sampling for re-test. Following which, continue to monitor the test results for the respective re-test samples;
- To compile the lab test results on weekly basis in order to submit the monthly reports timely to Microbiologist/ QA Executive or Manager for monitoring of microbiological performance;
- To support QC team as and when required by QA Manager, as part of staff personal career development and cross-training within QA operations.
- To perform other QA related duties as directed from time to time by QA Executive/ Manager or Laboratory Supervisor.
- To prepare culture media and sterilize glassware for laboratory analysis, as and when required;
- To guide Lab Assistant, intern (if any) and contract workers;
- To perform any other duties as directed from time to time by the reporting officer/ superior.

**Key Requirements**
- Possess a good command of English
- Good team player, demonstrate decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Have knowledge on microbiological standards and understanding of food safety and quality standards (HACCP, ISO22000, GMP)
- Familiar with aseptic techniques for food, raw material, water/ice and hygiene swab tests, and in basic chemical/ physical analytical techniques
- Familiar with microbiological, chemical or physical analytical techniques, and be able to perform the tests, as and when required
- Able to operate laboratory equipment
- Any other duties as directed from time to time by the reporting officer/ superior.
