**Roles & Responsibilities**

**Responsibility**:
The Electrician is responsible for operation and maintenance of electric power installations and utilities of the vessel.

Further, the Electric Technician is responsible for ensuring that the day to day activities are carried out in a safe and healthy manner and that the impact of such activities on the environment is within acceptable limits.

The Electrician shall be an authorized professional according to the requirements of NR-10, in order to provide services in electric systems.

**Specific Duties**:

- Carry out repair and planned maintenance (PM) work on the electrical power installation, utilities and ensure that the electrical installation complies with the applicable rules and regulations.
- Perform condition monitoring and troubleshooting of power plant, electrical distribution system and Power Management System as per Computerized Maintenance Management System
- Report the E&I status of the installation and any changes/modifications made or other matter of importance to his/her superior.
- Carry out the duties and tasks as specified in the Emergency Response Plan
- Familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management System
- Follow PTW system, Prepare Permits. Follow the Permit to work procedures, rules, regulations and work procedures applicable to his responsibilities
- Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Produce reports, update records, generate work orders;
- Maintain Ex rating of electrical equipment as per design
- Assist in pre-commissioning and commissioning
- Liaise with other departments for coordination of maintenance activitiesFurthermore, the Electric Technician must perform the work required by his superior and perform tasks according to company procedures, including administrative or operational tasks.

**Qualification Requirements**:
General education, certificates and experience:
a) Electrical technical education

b) CREA certificate (for Brazilians)

c) Experience from offshore installation or other relevant experience

d) Advanced English and fluent Portuguese
