**Regional Process Technology Specialist - Your future position?**

Location: Singapore - Woodlands

The Regional Process Technology Specialist will provide technical support and leadership to APAC Operations, including formula and process improvements, scale-up of new products and processes, product transfers, material and product quality issues, obsolescence, and technical troubleshooting. In this exciting role you will report to the Regional Process Technology Manager APAC, and your main responsibilities include:
Engage and support regional /cross-regional product transfers (include transfer to strategic toller within the region):

- Support and facilitate Product Transfer activities (from manufacturing feasibility review to customer approval), where required.
- Support strategic tolling manufacturing process audit & improvement activities.
- Work with different site Process Technology to identify and guide product localisations with potentials, with supply chain strategy of In the Region for the Region (IR4R).
- Plan and manage trial requirements, include travelling to Givaudan sites or tollers to support trials on-site, ensuring successful transfer within trial budget.
- Use strong process and engineer knowledge to drive process improvement for optimised yield.
- Oversee monitoring and resolution of process and technical related production issues at strategic tollers within APAC.

New product, technology or process industrialization:

- Support Regional Innovation (RI) and Flavour Creation & Application (FC&A) on new innovation projects (including new integrated solutions technology) where required.
- Lead industrialization and scale up processes design, and support drafting of preliminary plant operating procedure (slimPPOP) together with Science & Technology (S&T) and FC&A.
- Coordinate trials and monitor scale-up and first time production to ensure product can be manufactured effectively, and meets safety, quality and food safety requirements.
- Lead process troubleshooting, formula and process improvement activities, work with FC&A, S&T and local Process Technology.
- Leverage process engineering experiences, to support definition of user requirement specification (URS) for new equipment and process, and support CAPEX business case.

Provide technical process improvement and engineering solution:

- Coordinate with Regional Manufacturing Excellence, Engineering Centre of Excellence (CoE) and Global Process Engineering, and provide process engineering support to complex process inefficiencies and issues at different APAC sites.
- Support new equipment installation and commissioning, where required.
- Support review of P&ID's, PFD's, and operational parameters, and provide recommendations.
- Leverage experience to identify, recommend and lead process engineering and design improvement projects to ensure reliable and sustainable production processes.
- Support ManEx and site improvement projects and initiatives, such as yield and quality improvement, cost reduction, and capacity improvement projects.
- Establish process improvement, change management, SOP, training and production parameters to meet quality, safety, cost and production targets.

**Academic Background**:

- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, or Process Engineering and Technology related

**Professional Experience and Skills**:

- Min 8 years experience in a food ingredient & product manufacturing environment, including min 3 years in process engineering or process technology role
- Prefer Manufacturing/Engineering technical background, including product industrialization, process engineering, complex machinery and material flow, installations and evaluation of processing equipment.
- Knowledge in process technologies, such as process/reaction flavours, liquid and powder blending, spray drying, juice-based compounds, emulsions, liquid separation, concentration and extraction.
- Project management experience and fluent use of project management techniques.
- Experience with Food Safety and Quality Systems
- Proficient level production systems, including SAP, Microsoft & Google suites.
- Fluent in spoken and written English Language.
- Proficient in stakeholder management and communications.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
- Bring structure, logic, clarity, control and technical excellence to complex situations.
- Learn and retain technical information and IT systems utilization.
- Well organized with ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously.
