Staff Systems Enginner

**As a Senior Systems and Cloud Engineer, you will be part of a Platform Engineering team that enables Cloud adoption for the rest of the Bank. We put customers at the Centre of everything we do. **- **Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills on cloud deployments**:

- **Have experience in CI/CD pipelines with integrated automated testing and governance**:

- **Are passionate about DevOps/Automation and have a powerful desire to solve complex problems in a systematic approach - e.g using PowerShell**:

- **Possess hands on technical experience working in a public cloud environment (preferable AWS)**:

- **Are passionate about Cloud/DevOps/Automation and have a powerful desire to solve complex problems in a systematic approach**:

- **Good understanding of networking and network protocol will be advantageous**:

- **Solid understanding of systems engineering fundamentals and best practices**:

- **Have experience in CI/CD pipelines with integrated automated testing and governance**:

- **Are confident analysing systems and technical cloud solution; monitor system performance, availability and ensure SLOs are defined and SLAs are met**:

- **Take ownership of issues and follow through with end-to-end resolution of issues**:

- **Have good understanding of well architecture frameworks to manage platform on the cloud**:

- **Driving automation through understanding processes and implementing improvements**:

- **Strong presentation, verbal communication, and written communications skills**:

- **Hands on skills with scripting**:

- **Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices with specific focus on the following concepts: source control, CI/CD, automated testing, logging and monitoring**:

- **Have a great understanding of software delivery practices and lifecycles in Agile methodologies**:
**We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but having significant experience and exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team**:
**- **Experience operating and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines**:

- **Experience supporting services and infrastructure in AWS using automation**:

- **Experience with Infrastructure as code and automating manual tasks**:

- **Mentoring and coaching capabilities, able to influence practices and mindsets in the crew**:

- **Develop, lead, and deploy CI/CD strategies**:

- **Cloud experience, specifically with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Systems Manager**:

- **CI/CD tooling such as GitHub, TeamCity, Jenkins, Artifactory, Octopus Deploy**:

- **Logging & monitoring: CloudWatch, AppDynamics, Splunk.**:

- **Automating repetitive tasks using Python, shell scripting, PowerShell etc.**:

- **Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems across the CI/CD toolchain**:

- **A software engineering experience will be highly regarded**:
