**1. Job Purpose**

Thejobholder carries out non-invasive and invasive cardiac procedures; monitorshaemodynamic parameters of patients during invasive cardiac procedures andassists the cardiologist in specialized procedures in accordance to establishedstandards of care and practice.

**2. Duties andResponsibilities**

2.1 Primary Responsibilities and Duties(80%)

2.1.1 Set up 24-hr Ambulatory Holter/BloodPressure monitoring for patients

2.1.2 Perform 12-lead ECG

2.1.3 Perform Signal-Averaged ECG

2.1.4 Perform Devicechecks

2.1.5 Perform2D Echocardiography

2.1.6 PerformDobutamine Stress Echocardiography

2.1.7 PerformExercise Stress Echocardiogrphy

2.1.8 Assist the doctor in:

- Cardiac Nuclear Perfusion Scan
- Cardiopulmonary Exercise Test
- CoronaryAngiography/Angioplasty procedures
- Electrophysiological Studies
- Tilt-table Testing
- Transthoracic EsophagealEchocardiography
- Treadmill Exercise Stress Test

2.1.9 Carry out treatmentand investigations prescribed by cardiologists

2.1.10 PerformCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

2.1.11 Demonstrate clinicalskills and knowledge in the delivery of patient care

2.1.12 Display compassion, positive and caring attitude towards patients,internal and external customers.

2.1.13 Conduct orientation for new staff.

2.1.14 Guideand provide coaching to junior staff.

2.1.15 Demonstrateproper use and care of equipment.

2.1.16 Maintain a clean andsafe working environment.

**2.2 **Secondary Responsibilities and Duties(20%)

2.2.1 Participate in service improvement projects.

2.2.2 Promote andmaintain a harmonious working relationship amongst department staff and doctors.

2.2.3 Attend in-service lectures, courses and seminars.

2.2.4 Demonstrate awareness of current clinicaland healthcare practices.

2.2.5 Demonstrateproper and economical use of consumables and supplies.

2.2.6 Adhereto hospital’s policies and procedures.

2.2.7 Assumeadditional responsibilities as assigned by superior.

**3. JobSpecification/Requirements**

3.1 Degree in Medical Technology/BiomedicalScience or equivalent with at least 2 years related work experience preferred.

4. Skills

4.1 Possess good interpersonal andcommunication skills.

4.2 Service-oriented and customer-focused.

4.3 Computer literate.
