Job Responsibilities:

- Assist the Data Protection Officer to oversee the data protection responsibilities within the group and ensure compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and other relevant privacy regulations;
- Identify and map out key stakeholder relationships, needs and interests, and coordinate with key stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.
- Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and take appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
- Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
- Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

Our Requirements:

- Some relevant working experience in the area of personal data protection and risk management in the financial services or insurance industry
- Basic knowledge of PDPA is desired.
- Familiarity with relevant MAS notices and other regulatory requirements is a plus.
- Training in Data Protection Management (e.g. Fundamentals of the PDPA; Practitioner
- Certificate in PDP Preparatory Course; A Practical Approach to Data Protection for DPOs;
- Develop and Implement a Data Protection Management Programme (DPMP)), and Cyber and Data Breach Incident Management; or having attained the Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, and having meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proactive and resourceful team player and able to work under pressure and meet timeline; High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
