Digital Manufacturing Engineer

The Digital Systems Manufacturing Engineer works within Digital Manufacturing Team and with embedded IT contractors to maintain Manufacturing Execution Systems operations in the plant as well as deliver/ implement key strategic digital technology capabilities to improve plant performance and stability. The role will also require fundamental understanding of Systems Thinking and collaborate with cross functional teams to identify opportunities for improvements.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Lead KiD (Knowledge, Information and Data Management) initiatives.
- Deep understanding of various manufacturing process and business operational workflows.
- Partner functional teams to identify opportunities for new processes and implementation of digital system capabilities that will enhance the business key performance indicators.
- Develop digital capabilities roadmaps in line with business strategic objectives.
- Support both major transformational and continuous improvement projects with technical expertise and provide leadership with regards to vendor engagement to scope projects, evaluate proposals and review deliverables.
- Lead the implementation of projects related to digital systems and manage collaboration with partners and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of those capabilities.
- Provide on-going technical support for digital systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ablility to troubleshoot technical issues and know how to escalate incidents effectively in a timely manner.
- Be a catalyst for greater collaboration among IT partners to deliver an integrated service support ecosystem.

**Qualifications**
- Possess a BEng (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline with working experience maintaining & supporting digital manufacturing systems in a manufacturing facility. Experience with automation/ IIoT.
- Hands-on with strong knowledge in project and business change management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to understand stakeholder needs and work with cross functional teams.
- Ability to deliver quality work in a fast-pace operational environment.
- Familiarity with Design Thinking and proficiency in at least 1 programming language (e.g. Python or C#) will be a plus.
