Position Responsibilities*
Senior Director, Platform Technology is a critically important role in a fast-paced and expanding client-facing team. BGA’s Client Services Team has responsibility for engaging the world’s leading companies and organizations and crafting strategic advisory services that advance their business priorities in the Indo-Pacific region. Senior Directors lead our client management including, developing trusting and effective working relationships, communicating regularly with clients and BGA professionals based in 26 countries, guiding the delivery of exceptional service and contributing insights and ideas into all aspects of our work. Senior Directors provide thought leadership and strategy, both as it relates to clients in the platform technology sector and the overall development of BGA. We are seeking an experienced, talented, and highly motivated professional to lead our platform technology portfolio - encompassing clients in consumer technology, social media, e-commerce, entertainment, gaming and more. This is a fast-paced and demanding role which requires high EQ, excellent communication skills, initiative, innate curiosity and the ability to foster collaboration and build relationships with our clients.
- Manage and Grow Client Relationships_
- Develop a highly sophisticated understanding of clients’ business models, their Asia-focused initiatives and the challenges and opportunities present for clients in the region.
- Establish trusting relationships with the people with whom we work—both internally and externally.
- Build rapport with clients based on a keen understanding of their personalities, their companies and what they need to be successful.
- Platform Technology Portfolio Management_
- Develop sector strategy and provide input throughout the budget cycle.
- Manage and expand platform technology client portfolio by ensuring best in-class advisory service, products, and analysis.
- Lead client teams and engage country leaders to drive collaboration across 26 country offices.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop regional platform technology sector team.
- Client & Stakeholder Relations_
- Engage in high-level business diplomacy with stakeholders from businesses, government, and civil society at all levels.
- Liaise with senior executives and officials representing BGA and its clients.
- Subject Matter Expertise_
- Monitor and analyze the impact of local policy, geopolitics, and global trends on the technology sector in Asia.
- Manage development of political-economic risk analysis and forecasting; government affairs and public policy strategizing; and deliver them in written products and client briefings.
- Profile Building_
- Raise the profile of BGA by speaking, writing, and engaging with government, business, media, universities, think-tanks, business councils and associations, etc.

**Job Requirements**
- Qualifications Include: _
- 12+ years experience working in a relevant policy area with strong background in technology, social media, e-commerce, entertainment/OTT, etc. Previous government service and/or consulting and/or government relations experience strongly preferred.
- Strong network among private sector, civil society, academic or other KOLs in the technology sector.
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills in native-level English; proficiency in an Asian language is a strong plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and familiarity working in multicultural settings. Experience working in and with Asian countries and languages preferred.
- Aptitude for public speaking and project presentations.
- Superb and self-confident interpersonal skills, including with international counterparts.
- Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree; graduate degree in business, public policy, public affairs, international affairs, journalism, or related fields is preferred. The position reports to the vice president for client services.
