**Position Summary**

The LNG Trader is part of the global trading team in Gulf Coast Trading (GCT), a dynamic and fast-paced organization where timely decisions are made based on real-time market movements and trends. The Trader plays a key role in the optimization and risk management of the organization’s financial portfolio, developing and negotiating profitable deals with the primary goal of enhancing value and growing new, scalable, and sustainable income streams for the company.

Fundamental responsibilities involve significant frontline trading activities which include but are not limited to managing and analyzing LNG financial trading deals, portfolio value and financial risks across multiple global commodities exchanges, trade idea generation, trade booking in relevant systems, real time exposure confirmations on a spot and short/long term basis and P&L analysis.

Due to the international nature of trading and coupled with volatile market conditions, the Trader may be expected to respond flexibly to work beyond Singapore office hours at times.

**Roles & Responsibilities**

1. Develop and manage physical LNG trading activities, risk management and optimization across multiple commodities exchanges and time zones (mainly European and Asia time zones).

2. Good Track records in trading of Physical LNG and Derivatives

3. Build and accelerate portfolios with the objective of optimizing returns and meeting targets for gross margin and optimising the company’s global LNG portfolio.

4. Conduct research, analyze research information and trading deals, generate trade ideas and execute trading deals on spot and term basis.

5. Maintain and verify accurate trade entries, monitor profit and loss, and prepare market reports.

6. Make sensible revenue-generating decisions on the optimal purchase timings, quantities and delivery modes based on sound judgement and justified recommendations.

7. Develop and execute successful negotiation strategies for closing short and long-term profitable LNG deals for the organization.

8. Prepare and present contractual information and technical specifications in contracts.

9. Manage and engage partners to execute and resolve trade issues regarding terms, conditions, and technical specifications of the contracts.

**Requirements**:
2. Minimum 8 years’ experience in professional energy commodities trading with specific knowledge and exposure in the full LNG trading cycle and value chain.

3. Strong knowledge of the LNG market, market development, relationship management, derivative hedging, portfolio optimization, portfolio risk management and option pricing.

4. Highly capable with proven track record in physical LNG trading.

5. Adept in spreadsheet building and quantitative analysis.

6. Experience of working with Commodity/Energy Trading and Risk Management (C/ETRM) systems to represent intricate commodity positions.

7. Entrepreneurial, profit focused individual and able to perform under intense pressure in a fast-paced environment.

8. Decisive individual with excellent analytical skills who possesses exceptional attention to details, especially with numbers.

9. Resourceful in networking, excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.

10. Confident, resilient and able to nurture a positive working environment in challenging circumstances.

11. Be respectful to colleagues, internal and external stakeholders and be inclusive in a multi-cultural work environment.

12. Complete fluency in English (both written and spoken is required); other languages would be an advantage.
