Platform Infrastructure Engineer

**Team Overview**:
**Role & Responsibilities:
- Design, plan and implement business-specific cloud solutions with a strong focus on Network
- Monitor network performance and proactively avoid bottlenecks by upgrading or optimizing relevant designs/components
- Identify and develop technology to enhance networks' readiness for the Bullish platform
- Manage cloud environments in accordance with best practices and company security guidelines
- Automate infrastructure deployment and debug cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the infrastructure development lifecycle
- Work on an agile methodology to manage platforms, processes, tools, and related infrastructure
- Ensure the cloud network is responsive to user demands and introduce elastic cloud services to serve businesses
- Manage zero-trust security architecture including zero-trust identity federation and zero-trust network infrastructure
- Improve observability and telemetry to proactively detect point of failures, usage patterns, latency and capacity limitations
- Continuously review and improve existing systems for resilience
- Manage proxies, NAT, CDN and firewall to ensure both incoming and outgoing web-traffic are secure according to company security guidelines and policies
- Contribute to architecting, prototyping and implementing a highly performant and cost-effective strategy for a large-scale, global infrastructure

**Experience/Qualifications**:
**Essential**:

- Bachelors or Technical degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or a related field
- Solid understanding of host, network and cloud security concepts
- Strong experience in designing, deploying, and administering scaled, low latency network infrastructure solutions both in Cloud as well as in a traditional infrastructure set up
- Background in Linux administration and excellent understanding of core Linux concepts and technologies (LVM, system, memory/cpu/network/disk management and troubleshooting, Bash scripting, kernel tuning)
- Strong to advanced knowledge of Cloud Network Architecture (Certification preferred)
- Significant engineering and operational background with leading cloud providers such as GCP, AWS, Azure (GCP preferred)
- Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code, server templating, orchestration, configuration management and provisioning tools - Terraform, Ansible
- Ability to work independently with mínimal guidance on tasks and ability to be proactive when resolving issues
- Experience in creating Infrastructure/ Network architecture diagrams
- Experience in at least one programming language like Python, Perl, C/C++, or Go for developing automation software or tooling
- Experience with GIT and software change management using peer reviews and approval processes
- Experience with issue tracking and incident management ticketing systems (E.G. Confluence, Jira, ServiceNow)
- Experience in deployment of workloads/Infra relating to VMs, Cloud and Kubernetes-based environments

**Preferred**:

- Knowledge about Cloudflare administration (DNS, Firewall rules, Page Rules)
- Hands on experience with Istio / ASM or other variations of service mesh
- Knowledge about zero-trust architecture and how to set up identity federation using OIDC/SAML against identity providers (E.G. Okta, ADFS, Ping Identity)
- Knowledge about setting up and managing secrets management infrastructure and processes (E.G. Hashicorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, GCP Secret Manager)
- Familiarity with logs monitoring, telemetry and alerting system set up (E.G. Grafana/Prometheus, Splunk, ELK stack, NewRelic, Datadog, Pagerduty)
