Role Summary:
We’re seeking a hands-on QS Manager who can take full ownership of our pricing, claims, and variation workflows. You’ll lead and manage two QS staff (1 local, 1 remote), ensure quote accuracy, handle VO submissions, and establish internal systems that improve our speed and clarity.

Key Responsibilities:

- Tender Pricing Oversight
- Lead RFQ review, BOQ breakdown, and pricing logic
- Approve all tender submissions before sales reviews
- Coordinate with suppliers/drafters for input on non-standard items
- Commercial Control
- Set and maintain cost libraries/rate sheets
- Track margin integrity (quoted vs actual cost post-award)
- Provide cost analysis for management decision-making
- Claims & Variation Management
- Prepare and submit client claims (progress, retention, VO)
- Lead variation pricing and VO justifications
- Work with project team to track variation scope creep

QS Team Management
- Assign work to QS staff and review outputs
- Train juniors on pricing logic, spec risk, VO process
- Conduct post-mortems on won/lost tenders for improvement

System & Process Building
- Create SOPs for quoting, claim submission, and tracking
- Maintain organized digital folder systems

**Requirements**:

- Min 4-5 years QS experience, preferably in steel/fabrication
- Managed or mentored QSs before
- Strong understanding of Singapore construction contracts & VO process
- Excel proficiency + drawing literacy (PDF/AutoCAD reading)
- Strong ownership mindset — not a task-doer
