Key responsibilities of the Workplace Safety and Health Officer:
- **Act as both a Workplace Safety and Health Officer and Fire Safety Manager (FSM)**:
- Responsible for all EHS activities and compliance matters - Fire Safety Act, Fire Safety (Fire Safety Managers) Regulations, Workplace Safety & Health Act, other relevant EHS regulations etc
- Develop, review, approve and manage risk assessment and related supporting documents (e.g. method statement/safe work procedure, training competency, safety data sheet etc);
- Review, issue, control and manage permit-to-work for working-at-height, confined space, lifting operation, hot work and fire protection system impairment etc
- Develop, review and maintain EHS documentation, safe work procedure, emergency response plan, data and record as well as training material etc
- Conduct trainings and drill exercises
- Promote positive EHS awareness
- Provide EHS technical support
- Work with local team to drive EHS implementation and improvement in risk management, operational control as well as emergency preparedness and response etc
- Liaison with local authorities for EHS compliance and partnership, licencing etc
- Other related duties as assigned
**Required Qualifications and Skills Sets**
- **Certified WSHO and FSM**:
- Related working experience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in a fast pace environnment and within tight deadlines
- Positive attitude with good research and problem solving capabilities
- Working location: East
- Open to 1 year contract
