**Senior Baker**

Our client, Ang Mo Kio Family Service Centre is a leading community-based social service agency, which provides a holistic range of services to support children, youths, families and seniors at multiple touchpoints across Singapore.

The Senior Baker is involved in supporting the production of baked goods in the Bakery Hearts Programme, a training programme to support the building of baking skills in individuals affected by unemployment and other challenges including caregiving and mental health concerns.

The Senior Baker oversees the running of the kitchen, and leads the team of participants from the programme to support the building of skills, and to meet the demands of production for Bakery Hearts products. The Senior Baker supports the programme executive and programme lead in meeting the demands for orders, and provides training and development support to participants to build up their employability.

The Senior Baker is expected to be a strong team player, and participate in team discussions to support employability of participants.

**Roles and Responsibilities**

**_Production and Client Management _**
- Check and ensure participants who produce the Bakery Hearts goods meet their requirements and make necessary documents of their qualifications (I.e., WSQ Food Hygiene Course)
- Support the baking of products in an NEA (National Environmental Agency) Certified kitchen, to meet existing orders.
- Ensure and maintain all baked goods/refreshments adhere to the quality checks based on the hygiene standards by Singapore Food Agency (SFA)
- Order supplies when necessary and arrange for delivery of supplies
- Plan and schedule orders in a timely manner to ensure that customers received their goods on time
- Assist the Administrative assistant to coordinate and arrange delivery of the baked goods/refreshments
- Ensure smooth running of the kitchen, maintain records of attendance of participants, and provide supervision support
- Support Sales and management of any booths for selling products

**_Sales Management _**
- Assist the Administrative assistant and the Programme Executive (Bakery Hearts) to advise whether demands for products can be met.

**_Training and Development _**
- Provide baking related training for participants to ensure that they are able to pick up relevant skills for employability.
- Coach and mentor to participants in an appropriate manner, to support long term employability, or skills upgrading.
- To attend relevant team and corporate meetings to ensure updates of work processes and events.
- To attend to additional relevant job responsibilities given during course of work.

**Desired Skills and Competencies**
- Relevant qualifications in accounts and/or administrative work
- Minimum O-levels qualifications
- 2-4 years of work experience in production, and team supervision
- Proficient in oral and written communication, especially in English
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Committed and responsible
- Keen on learning by accepting feedback on performance and making timely efforts to improve performance and proactively learning and putting into practice relevant new skills and knowledge at the workplace
- Demonstrate sound and updated job knowledge and skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
