**Position: Mechanical Design Engineer - Robotics**
**Location: Seletar, Singapore (Hybrid Work Arrangements Available)**

**Job Summary**:
We are looking for a skilled and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join our robotics team, focusing on the design, analysis, and integration of mechanical components for autonomous robotic systems—particularly aerial platforms. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of mechanical design, from CAD modeling and simulation to prototyping and testing, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with electrical and software subsystems.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design and develop mechanical structures and components for autonomous robotic platforms using 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD).
- Perform structural (FEA), thermal analysis, and material selection to ensure robust and lightweight mechanical designs.
- Analyze robotic kinematics and dynamics to optimize performance and system stability, especially for aerial platforms.
- Design and integrate actuation systems including motors, linkages, gearboxes, and payload-specific mechanisms.
- Prototype and fabricate mechanical components using techniques such as 3D printing, CNC machining, molding, and sheet metal work.
- Lead the physical assembly and integration of mechanical systems and subsystems.
- Design sensor mounting solutions and ensure proper fit and protection for electronics such as IMUs, LiDAR, cameras, and embedded systems.
- Conduct environmental and flight testing to validate mechanical performance, robustness, and dynamic behavior.
- Work collaboratively with electrical, software, and control teams to ensure complete mechanical system integration.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation including CAD models, technical drawings, assembly guides, and test reports.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in robotics or mechanical/mechatronic system design, or equivalent academic R&D experience.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
- Strong foundation in mechanical design principles, kinematics, dynamics, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping tools and techniques such as 3D printing, CNC machining, or manual fabrication.
- Experience in designing and assembling complex robotic or mechatronic systems.
