Purpose of Job:
**Duties**:
- Work with relevant agencies and engage them on issues related to licensing of food farms and animal feed production.
- Develop new licensing policies to address emerging business models to ensure continued relevance to SFA’s vision and mission.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform policy decisions such as analysing industry trends, emerging food safety trends, including best practices from other jurisdictions.
- Identify and work on streamlining of licensing processes for improved efficiency.
**Qualifications**:
- A tertiary degree in Food Technology/Food Science/ Agricultural Science/ Environmental Science or other Science-related discipline.
**Other Requirements**:
- Adaptable and flexible with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership, initiative and analytical abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, analytical and writing skills.
- Able to work independently, grasp timelines, operating context and ground realities.
- Good team player with well-rounded interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders in the public and private sector.
- Willing to work outside normal office hours occasionally.
