The **Freelance Producer **will consistently deliver exceptional service to our clients through excellent client insight, creative leadership, and project management. This position is an integral part of our Planning & Production team and will be responsible for managing, supporting and/or executing events from initial concept through execution and final reconciliation.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible for leading and/or supporting the planning and execution of events
- Manage, prioritize and oversee events from creative concept and development through initial briefing to reconciliation including but not limited to budget management, site selection, presentation development, video design & development, branding and graphic design, interactive/experiential technology, registration, event app, AV, scenic/set design, décor design, staffing, translation etc.
- Comfortable with scoping out and handling production deliverables for events
- Can manage events with live show/programming and technical elements with limited supervision (i.e. awards show, panels and summits requiring show/script development, tech teams and stage/show management)
- Can serve as central point of contact to facilitate the venue’s logístical needs including the coordination of catering, audio-visual, security, swag/collateral, and transportation
- Can manage booking requests/room blocks utilizing the client’s internal system and ensure calendar invitations are sent for prep meetings and speaker scheduling
- Experience running offsite incentive-related activities (eg. wellness, tours)
- To act as a client point of contact during the planning and execution of live events
- Manage client expectations on logístical issues and escalate issues as needed
- Liaise and build relationships across different levels within the immediate team and the client’s organization; effectively work cross-functionally
- Work with the team to ensure adherence to client standards of operations
- Administrative duties including supply management, event documentation and post event communications to key stakeholders
- Be responsible for accurate and timely budgeting and reconciliation of events
- Be proactive with ideas and creative solutions

- Field questions and offer advice to team members to assist with creative problem solving

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- 3 - 8+ years’ live event production experience, preferably in an agency environment
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Advanced project management skills including budget creation, management and reconciliation
- Experience with business meetings, product launches and experiential events
- Exceptional ability to establish relationships and maintain a positive rapport with clients, vendors and suppliers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Advanced negotiating, risk management and contracting skills
- Good/advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Good/advanced working knowledge of audio visual systems as it relates to live events
- Creative problem solver, resourceful, team player
- Calm and flexible approach to handling the pressure and stress of ever changing demands
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
- Ambitious and proactive
- Willing to travel when required

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels
- Familiarity with project collaboration tools (e.g. Slack, GoogleDocs)
- Experience working with technical vendors, fabricators, specialists and artists
- Experience with meetings & conference logistics and/or international events
