
Senior Client Service Representative

We are looking for a Senior Client Service Representative to join our Portfolio Administration / Global Client Service Support Asia team in Singapore. The position will be responsible for performing multiple client specific orientated tasks and delivery of services to a variety of external/internal clients and business partners including Distribution / Client Service, Portfolio Management and Trading and other Corporate functions.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?
Institutional Account Governance/Ownership:
- Good overall understanding of internal/external clients and relationships-
- Seek to understand and maintain knowledge of client account activities and teams/functions responsible for those activities with aim to identify potential risks of operational issues impacting client experience- System/account validation and maintenance oversight- Daily Period Closure transactions monitoring for materiality and to assess month-end reruns requirements- Involved in production of complex reports (e.g. Regulatory reporting)- Involved in compilation and creation of new and complex client reports prior to transition to report production team- Support complex processes such as Shariah purification- Gain knowledge and understanding of new accounts operational requirements- Participate and provide inputs for Custodian Service review calls- Partnering with the Events Representative for account handover to support onboarding/offboarding of Client accounts- Gain knowledge and understanding of new accounts operational requirements- Manages communication with appropriate stakeholders
Client Service and Reporting Support:
- Act as go-to contact for Distribution/Client Service for client requests and queries including those requiring coordination with various operational teams- Proactively track and monitor resolution of client requests status to ensure these are timely and satisfactorily addressed- Understand end to end data sources for client reports; provide guidance to report production team to ensure client reporting requirements are met- Involved in compilation and creation of new and complex client reports prior to transition to report production team- Involved in setting up new client reports and offboarding of accounts in GRIP- Provide QC support for complex and sensitive client reports where required- Involved in compilation and review of Client Meeting Books
Others- Contribute to continuous improvement for the department in areas such as faster turnaround query resolution time, zero errors in client reports and quality of responses to Clients/business partners- Participate in Business Continuity testing, system user enhancement testing, system migrations and any other projects as assigned by management- Assist in staff cross-training and procedure manuals- Provide support for on-boarding activities including participating in client/custodian meetings- System/account maintenance for changes resulting from events
What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business, Accounting, Finance or other equivalent qualifications- Minimum 4-5 years of operation relevant working experience in asset management, private wealth division, investment banks or other equivalent financial services firms- Strong communication (verbal and written) skills in English is a must; proficiency in Chinese will be highly preferred.- Familiar with in Portfolio accounting systems (SimCorp Dimension). Experience of using other similar portfolio accounting systems will also be considered-
- Knowledge of investment operations, investment industry accounting principles, terminology, financial markets, security types and corporate action types is preferred- Ability to work effectively and build close relationship with all business partners, management and clients.- Ability to resolve queries arising in daily work, maintaining accountability and escalating issues appropriately- Problem solver who can collaborate with different functions and teams to find solutions- Meticulous and attention to details- Good time management and organizational skills- Work under general supervision with reference to policies and practices for guidance
