Regulatory Compliance ensures adherence to applicable regulations and standards by setting the policies which cover HSBC’s regulatory requirements, and mitigate conduct and reputational risk issues. The team strives to remain ahead of the regulatory change agenda and ensures the business understands the implications and is prepared for change. It monitors how the Global Businesses and Functions manage their responsibilities with regard to complying with the regulations and helps resolve compliance deficiencies.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **Vice President Compliance, Insurance.**

**Principal Responsibilities**
- Provide compliance advisory to the insurance business primarily with focus on AML and financial crime risk management
- Support other regulatory compliance matters, corporate governance and conduct related matters
- The scope of work will cover local regulatory expectations as well as implementation of HSBC Group policies and framework.
- The role will report into the Team lead and Head of Financial Crime Compliance

Requirements

**Requirements**:

- Degree holder (accounting, law )with strong experience in financial crime risk management advising on AML/CFT customer risk assessment; prior experience with insurance industry preferred
- Significant experience in the financial services industry
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, with experience of dealing with stakeholders at all levels including the capacity to articulate the case for risk management and policy in the language of business.
- Some experience of dealing with regulatory matters and confident interaction with Regulators.
- Experience of working within a matrixed environment preferred including reporting internationally.
