You will lead and motivate a team of professionals to manage the finance and accounting operations and ensure that the team provides optimal support to various stakeholders and cross functional teams.

You will be involved in the following:

- Act in concert with the Management in understanding the strategic business needs and plans, providing valuable support to the clinical and operational partners in understanding their operating models, identifying how new initiatives will impact them and make recommendations to achieve process efficiency and operational excellence.
- Responsible for timely and accurate monthly financial reports to Senior Management.
- Supervise Accounts Payable function to coordinate and ensure proper recording and processing of financial transactions relating to procurement and subvention.
- Ensure compliance with prevailing standards and implement workflow changes to adopt new Financial Reporting Standards or business requirements.
- Effective partnering and support to researchers, providing advice on financial matters and reviewing of research agreement and grant claims.
- Engage MOH and other Sponsors for the necessary funding and possess the ability to positively influence MOH and other Sponsors in their decision making. To facilitate the discussions between the various stakeholders e.g. HR and Ops etc. and MOH/Sponsors so as to optimize the funding, where possible.
- Ensure implementation of business systems are interfaced to the financial systems for proper recording of transactions.

**Job Requirements**
- Degree in Accountancy or degree holder (major in Accountancy or Finance)
- At least 8 years of relevant experience which includes 2 years of managerial experience
- Strong analytics and problem solving skill
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A good team player
