Svp/vp Finance

**Primary Objectives**
- This position is accountable for the accounting operations of all entities in Singapore, including maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results
- Plan, direct and coordinate financial operations in support of RHB Singapore country’s growth (including bank, and Asset Management business)
- Formulating policies and strategic plans for future growth, and managing daily operations of personnel, purchasing, administration and reconciliation work.
- Oversee the operations of Finance Department of RHB Singapore Bank and ensure smooth daily financial operations and supervise staffs in day-to-day tasks.
- Responsible for improving operational efficiency within financial operations, maintaining efficient team structure and performance, according to established objectives
- Ensure change in process and system to improve data quality
- Manage effective resource planning and staffing of teams
- Develop strong relationships with outside partners, such as vendors and advisors, as well as internal partners, including department supervisors and co-executives.
- Ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal accounting policy and external requirements/guidelines.
- Review and implement internal control procedures.
- Review of reporting to Head Office
- Manage & coordinate the various responsibility units deliverables.
- Coordinate and support business projects and products implementation.
- Liaise with external parties on accounting and tax matters.
- Influence and forge win-win partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive process improvements projects
- Develop high performance culture as part of broader aspiration to build the financial operation team. Ensure staff are regularly trained in their respective functions

**Key Responsibilities**

Strategy and Planning
- Provide support to Head of Finance, RHB Singapore and deputise the rolw in his / her absence
- Provide direction and technical advice to subordinates, share information and facilitate problem solving.
- Review and implement of Finance’ internal control & procedure.

Others
- To support and advise functional and business units on financial operation matters.
- Facilitates implementation of new guidelines related to financial operation matters.
- Initiatives to drive process improvements.
- Ensure delivering of financial inputs to the reporting process, with integrity over financial disclosure and presentation as well as timeliness against defined schedules
- Coordination of month end close process

**Qualifications**
- Degree in Accountancy or possess ACCA or other professional qualification, eg CA.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in financial operations in the Banking industry.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Conversant in computerized environment and be able to value add to improve accounting system and work processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good team leadership skills, with experience in driving cross-functional change initiatives within a complex organization
- Demonstrate financial management and budgeting skills
- Make sound business decision based on data and statistics
- Utilize the latest technology to enhance the growth of an organization
- Above to leverage accounting knowledge and skills to succeed as a section head
