Our bodies and environment all depend on water, it is the building block that supports all life. Water issues are becoming increasingly prominent as we struggle with disparity between water availability and demands, water pollution, and competition for limited water resources. At Jacobs, we recognize these challenges and our engineers, scientists, and planners are working together with clients to find the right solutions to their water challenges.

Our Water business is currently hiring a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) to be based in Tuas Site Office, working on a Water Treatment Plant project. Jacobs role is The Client's Representative.

Specific duties include:

- Be responsible for Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) aspects at the project site
- Working with the WSH Manager to lead, manage, and coordinate HSE initiatives through the multi-disciplinary construction project site team during site mobilization, execution, and demobilization activities; consistent with established project delivery HSE specifications to ensure the efficient, and effective implementation of control measures established through risk management process
- Schedule and Coordinate onsite HSE management activities, which include periodic inspections, internal audits, emergency response plan assessment, behavioral assessment, performance trend analysis, incident investigation, critical risk management, Life Saving Rules enforcement, Safe Management Measures monitoring, etc
- Ensure HSE expectations are delivered to the satisfaction of the Client, while simultaneously ensuring that JACOBS’s HS&E, quality, financial, risk management; business and policy expectations are met
- Ensure the construction activities of Contractors are executed in accordance with contractual and HSE assurance requirements. Interfaces closely with various safety professionals to ensure construction activities and works are in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Review, verify, and consolidate evidences submitted by Contractors to justify their performance for the project incentive/disincentive program
- Evaluate field changes/reworks to Contractor and estimate the relevant impact on safe execution with overall construction/project management for issuance of instructions
- Providing safety, health, and environmental performance inputs to overall project reporting on a monthly basis
- Manage storage and issuance of Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Equipment

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Minimum Specialist Diploma /Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Safety, and Environmental management or related field.
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing HSE aspects in the construction of infrastructure sites in Singapore. Strong field safety experience is essential.
- Skill in developing environmental health and safety culture and practice.
- Ability to manage safety professionals from various backgrounds.
- Proficiency in MS Office and carrying out presentations.
- A Singaporean working rights.
