Manufacturing Engineer

**Job Description Summary**: Key accountabilities for source substantiation, repair development, non-conformance reviews and disposition, corrective action & complaint handling, paperwork reviews & maintenance, product technical support/enquiry, tech coordination with Special Process, process improvement and Six Sigma engagement for the assigned product line/process and undertake tasks as assigned by immediate Manager.

GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.

**Role Overview**:

- Design/develop/substantiate/implement new repairs.
- Ensure internal shop documents are kept current with the latest repair documents and flow changes to appropriate personnel.
- Generate, change/update OP sheets, routers.
- Track or collect data on yield and identify opportunities to improve yield; conduct new material tryouts; review process for improvements.
- Conduct salvation reviews.
- Raise and follow thru with Departure Records approval, work with REDO or GEAE engineers to enhance tech issue resolution process.
- Provide work scope for customers, draft responses to customers’ queries.
- Investigate and answer QPR/CARs.
- Engagement in Six Sigma, bullet train activities; lead cluster activities.
- Up-to-date technical/engineering documents and new business opportunities for company.
- Ensure up-to-date manuals are deployed for use - compliance.
- Proper flow down of technical operating documents for CRT use.
- Up-to-date technical/engineering documents and new business opportunities for company.

- Customer benefit, yield improvement and additional business for organization.
- Ensure proper technical qualifications are completed for either transitions in or out of GEASO.
- Compliance/Customer Satisfaction - timely response & closure.
- Skills development & enhancement for shop CRTs.
- Support business productivity & cost efficiency drive efforts.

**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace
- Related Engineering fields 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing environment will be an advantage
- Aviation maintenance repair and/or overhaul environment preferred.
- Relevant internship experience is highly desirable.
