(Senior) Associate, Corporate Development

EVYD Technology is a healthcare AI and Big Data company established with the aim to deliver data-driven solutions to address healthcare issues facing countries in Southeast Asia and beyond.

We are transforming healthcare through Data Intelligence. Our Big Data platform aggregates raw data that reside in disparate information systems and convert them into computable, structured and standardized data so that they could be further processed to derive deep insights and knowledge using natural language processing, machine learning and other AI technologies.

**REPORTING TO: Director, Corporate Development/EVYD**

**IN BRIEF**

The (Senior) Associate works in our Corporate Development team to support company strategy development, investment and M&A, strategic projects and business development. You will carry out research and analysis, provide investment recommendations to senior management, and work with other functions to coordinate and execute projects.

**KEY DELIVERABLES**:

- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of transactions, market research, and strategic project work with a portfolio mindset.
- Conduct business analysis, facilitate cross-functional communications, and drive project execution.
- Analyse investment information, including screening and presenting early assessments of pipeline companies or business ideas.
- Conduct market research for emerging markets to assess new business opportunities.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide fundamental company analysis, financial modelling, risk assessment and administrative support on investments and acquisitions.
- Contribute through the entire process of transaction completion and portfolio management.
- Support due diligence processes including liaising with external counterparties to gather and analyse materials and write investment memos.
- Play a significant role in investment selection, evaluation, negotiation, closing and ongoing corporate governance process.
- Accountable for investment performance and risk monitoring of the assets.
- Keep abreast of current political, market and economic trends and changes, which may impact investment performance and/or decisions. Provide periodic internal updates.
- Support company strategy development, investment and M&A, and strategic projects and business development as required.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Good academic qualifications with at least 3-5 years of work experience in a top-tier VC/PE fund, management consulting firm or investment bank (buy-side experience required).
- Excellent financial analysis and modelling skills and ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative research and synthesize results to present data meaningfully.
- Deep understanding of investment and M&A and the broader financial services landscape.
- Experience investing in technology and medical/healthcare fields.
- Exceptional internal and external stakeholder management ability across different levels.
- Independent strategic thinking to problem solve, systematically analyse, and quickly grasp core business logic.
- A great team player who possesses maturity, responsibility and integrity.
- Strong written and communication skills, organizational skills, and multi-tasking ability.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with great attention to detail.
- A global perspective and ability to connect the dots across markets and cultures.
- Proficiency in more than one language is an advantage
