**Overview**:
This will be a 3-day camp across 4 weeks of the June holiday. As a Camp Leader, you will play a vital role in delivering a safe, engaging, and memorable experience for children aged 5 to 12 during our 3-day holiday camp. You will be responsible for overseeing small groups of children, guiding them through daily activities, and ensuring their well-being, safety, and enjoyment throughout the camp.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Supervision & Safety**:
- Actively supervise and ensure the safety of all assigned children at all times.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, responding promptly to any issues or incidents.
- Monitor attendance and ensure no child is left unsupervised
**Activity Facilitation**:
- Lead and assist in the execution of games, team challenges, and other scheduled activities.
- Encourage participation and enthusiasm among campers.
- Adapt activities to suit varying age groups and abilities.
**Camper Engagement**:
- Build positive rapport with children, ensuring they feel welcomed, included, and supported.
- Foster teamwork, kindness, and respect among all participants.
- Manage group dynamics and behavioural issues with patience and consistency.
**Communication**:
- Communicate effectively with fellow camp staff and camp coordinators.
- Provide regular updates or concerns about campers’ behavior, injuries, or other incidents.
- Engage respectfully and professionally with parents or guardians during drop-off and pick-up.
**Team Support**:
- Collaborate with other Camp Leaders to ensure smooth camp operations.
- Participate in daily briefings, setup, and cleanup of camp spaces.
- Be flexible and ready to take on additional tasks as required by the camp coordinator.
**Parent Communication**:
- Be approachable and prepared to engage with parents during drop-off and pick-up times.
- Provide brief but clear updates on their child’s participation, behavior, or any notable incidents.
- Report any concerns to the Camp Coordinator in a timely manner.
**Requirements**:
- Enjoy working with children and have a positive, energetic attitude.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to remain calm in high-energy environments.
- Prior experience in childcare, teaching, coaching, or similar fields is an advantage.
- Must be available for all three days of the camp and any pre-camp training sessions.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 1 month
Pay: From $1,200.00 per month
Expected hours: 30 per week
