Histology Validation Specialist

**Functions Including but not limited to**:
**Instrument/Equipment/Assay validation**
- Perform assay validation experiments according to SOPs.
- Compile validation data for review
- Assist with validation of new instrument/equipment incl. software validation requirements.

**SOPs**
- Complete timely review of new/revised SOPs, processing of SOPs for department

**Training**
- Assist with training of employees post validation and follow up to ensure training understood.
- May assist with development of training material, checklists and competency assessment programs.
- Assist staff by providing technical guidance where needed.

**Quality control and proficiency testing**
- Review/investigate unacceptable results for QC monitoring programs.
- Investigate root cause for unacceptable performance on proficiency surveys
- Prepare corrective action responses by due date for management review.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a biomedical or biological science from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in Histology department and/or laboratory.
- Good analytical skills with attention to details.
- Able to work independently as well as a good team player with initiative and adaptive to changes
- Good planning and organizing skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good & strong documentation skills.
