
Senior Technical Purchaser in Singapore Office

Your Job as purchaser is of course purchase goods, materials and commodities to ensure that production and operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality, delivery lead times ensuring continuity of supply.
A successful technical buyer should have excellent and creative troubleshooting skills in the short term, but more important stay focused on the balance between price, quality and leadtime. Our processes and products need to consistently meet established quality standards in the market.
**Tasks and responsibilities include**:
- Drive best value purchasing and process into the business, with strategic approach to deliver targeted savings whilst ensuring the companies operating needs are met and guaranteeing continuity of supply.
- Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations.
- Responsible for continuing the dual source strategy to minimize risk and safeguard customer requirements and ultimately creating a world class supplier base.
- Drive lean initiatives and process improvements.
- Attend meetings in particular when there is a risk which could prevent the organization meeting customer demands or where there are over capacity concerns.
- Support product change requests and review and communicate the impact on capacity plans.
- Establish standardized processes underpinned by continuous improvement
- Evaluate, monitor and report supplier scorecard performance.
- Manage supplier Audits from an operational capability standpoint.
- Liaise with engineering to identify areas of standardization and optimal design solutions for procurement.
- Co-ordinate with cross functional business teams to develop the best strategy for production planning to support customer demand.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Support in maintaining stock codes, costs, prices and product data in the company ERP SAP B1.
- Work with logistics, accounts and suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
- Collect and analyse data including reporting KPIs and supplier scorecard.

We would like to see in our Technical Purchaser.
- A Bachelor Degree in Business Management or other related education to purchase.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement as technical buyer.
- Knowledge and skills to operate effectively in a high-tech environment, obtained by education and experience in an engineering to order organization.
- SAP experience is preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management skills.
