The Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS) has been caring for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PWIDs) and their families since 1962.

With the key focus to expand community-based services, improving the employability of PWIDS, strengthening education, and engendering inclusive community living, MINDS offers a holistic range of services and programmes across the PWIDs’ lifespan.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Programme Coordinator conducts programmes to suit the needs of the clients and coordinates these programmes. He/She identifies areas of improvements in these programmes, implements quality control and compliance measures and develops information materials for distribution to clients and volunteers.
He/She plans the manpower implementation for each programme and guides the program team or volunteers in executing programme activities. He/She coordinates with other organisations to execute programmes, manages communications and feedback from school and stakeholders. A resourceful, proactive, responsible and client-centric professional, the Programme Coordinator works in various voluntary welfare organisations, communities and institutional settings.
**Manage programmes**
- Develop programmes to support the child in his/ her achievement of ICP as well as for psychosocial, emotional, physical and cognitive development.
- Implement the planned daily programmes for the children.
- Plan and ensure smooth implementation of appropriate and adequate training, learning and personal development programmes for the residents in Children’s Wing.
- Evaluate children’s progress and review their ICP & CS regularly.
- Conduct needs assessment to support development of programmes based on client needs and conduct programmes based on client needs
- Provide programme updates to Head of Children’s Wing
- Identify areas of improvements in programmes
- Maintain daily records on progress of clients (ICP, CLS Records)
- Maintain records on volunteer / donor / event management
- Develop information materials for distribution to clients and volunteers
**Manage manpower & resources**
- Plan the manpower assignment of the Program team for programmes
- Guide volunteers in executing programme activities
- Prepare teaching aids/ materials.
- Update & maintain the inventory of teaching & learning aids purchased by Children’s Wing.
- Recommend and purchase suitable and needed teaching & learning aids/ materials
**Build stakeholder relationships**
- Liaise with schools, parents and other agencies to support child in his/ her training for greater independence.
- Monitor and work volunteers to provide variety of activities for the children to aid in their development, skills training and learning.
- Assist the psychologist, social worker, therapists to implement recommended programmes.
- Plan appropriate Individual Care Plans (ICP) and Community Skill (CS) for children based on their needs and abilities with inputs from internal stakeholders.
- Provide programme updates to supervisor
- Coordinate with other organisations for the execution of programmes
- Manage communications and feedback from stakeholders
- Support development of community outreach plan to other organisations and the community
QUALIFICATIONS
- GCE’A’ levels or Diploma with a social service background or equivalent
OTHER INFORMATION
- Computer literacy skills - MS Word and PowerPoint
- Experience working with persons with autism, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is preferred
