Graphic Designer

They will be working with our marketing team to create aesthetically-pleasing, branded image assets for the Hydragun brand, to be used on social media ads, social media accounts, and even product packaging and instruction manuals.
One of the most exciting things about this job is that feedback is not solely given by your clients or superiors - rather, your work will be battle-tested on digital ad platforms and will be rated based on how the audience/market reacts to it. Metrics that will be used to assess performance may include:
**CTR**: Click-through rate - How many people click on the ad after viewing it?

Number of sales/purchases of Hydragun products

**ROAS**: Return on Ad Spend / CPP: Cost per purchase - How much does it cost us to generate sales?

They need to be proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. And they should have a good understanding of various digital platforms and channels such as:

Instagram

Google

Youtube

Tiktok

Online Websites

How do the banners and images appear on each of these platforms?What are the common aspect ratios that are used?What is the user’s state of mind and intention when using each of these platforms? Are they looking for entertainment, education, or a way to kill time?

Adapt HYDRAGUN’s brand elements into visual materials for various mediums including:

Social Media Posts (Instagram)

Physical Product

Booklet/instruction manual

Packaging

Fine-tune and finish your artwork with maximum precision, paying rigorous attention toward details and final copy

Assist the team in identifying new digital trends

Required Skills & Experience

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator

A highly developed eye for typography and layout, with a natural finesse for colors and composition

Judgement, critical thinking and creative problem solving abilities

Efficient and fast worker - we tend to have a weekly turnover in terms of creative asset production. Tasks are assigned during Monday calls and team members are expected to submit their work by Friday, so that these ads can be tested over the weekend and we can receive immediate feedback the following week.

Good organisational skills - We have our own internal systems for classifying and organising our in-house and external image/video assets. Assets need to be sorted into the right places so that colleagues can have easy access to them.

Strong passion in understanding global d2c design trends

Up-to-date awareness of innovative software and tools

Strong communication skills to convey ideas to the team

A self-starter and proactive attitude

Ability to display responsiveness and flexibility under critical pressure

Nice-to-haves

Diploma/Degree in Visual Communications or related

Knowledge of UIUX and motion graphics

Ability to illustrate - certain ad ideas and concepts may be easier to bring to life with illustrations rather than photoshop

Excellent knowledge of preparing artwork for print

Other than expert design skills, our ideal Graphics Designer has to have a deep understanding of the visual identity, vision, and target audience of HYDRAGUN, so as to adapt, adopt or recreate our brand elements into varying visual forms for our audiences to consume.
We also want a team player who has the ability to understand the objectives of each marketing material as we believe that great design is aesthetics with a purpose.
