**About Structo**

**Lead Sustaining Engineer**

Structo is looking for an experienced Lead Sustaining Engineer to help support existing products, spearhead product improvements, participate on our Engineering Review Board, and support our Product, Quality, Customer Support and Manufacturing teams. You will pick up and lead products transitioning from engineering development to manufacturing. The Sustaining team will also be first line of defense for all field issues and escalation.

The primary role of the Sustaining team is supporting the development, customer support and manufacturing team but there is always opportunity to participate in development activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead all sustaining activities ranging from product improvements to driving the solutions for field issues.
- Develop and maintain strong and positive relationships with the Development, Product, Quality, Customer Support and Manufacturing teams.
- Strong collaboration with our product team to identify product improvements.
- Lead the development and implementation of new product improvements.
- Partner with our Quality team and create sound verification and validation test plans.
- Lead cross-functional teams to root-cause field issues and deliver solutions.
- Take over engineering projects from the Development team and help the Product, Manufacturing and Operations teams industrialize and deliver products.
- Direct and mentor senior and junior engineers.
- Lead Change Management activities within the Engineering department.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- A positive can-do attitude and a desire to work with others and lead teams. Team mentality.
- A strong desire to work on mechanical systems and technical engineering projects.
- 10-12 years of relevant experience in mechanical, product development or sustaining engineering.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals.
- Experience working on all phases of product development.
- Good communication skills, adaptable and easy to work with.
- Strong understanding of Tolerance Analysis.
- Understanding of the Reliability Testing required to qualify for hardware.
- Good understanding of Change Management and the ability to create simple, easy, and robust processes to support.
