**About Lumen**

**The Role**:
The Senior IT Engineer will be responsible for the realization of the customer’s Build, Design and Setup of the network through the Delivery Implementation process. The Senior Engineer will be well versed in various network technologies while maintaining an expert level of competency in network systems and topology to be supported by Lumen. The Senior IT Engineer will work with the Provisioner, Customer Care Manager & the Sales Engineer to validate the commercial design and setup to fulfill the client’s desired solution. The Senior IT Engineer will have in depth and working knowledge of the Lumen Network products and architectures.

**Position Objectives**:

- Support in all aspect of Build, Design, Testing and Activation with a 1st time success rate that is within the set target of customer delivery.
- Review of the technical documentation in which the Senior IT engineers then use to execute the orders to completion.
- Provide technical guidance to the Customer Care Manager and Sale Engineer enabling them to execute on complex network designs.
- Support Global Customer Service Team and Fault Resolution Activation Team on any Post Sale cases/issue terminated in APAC region.
- Troubleshoot & resolve any issue arising out of the build and activation activities.

**The Main Responsibilities**:

- Work with Provisioner, Customer Care Manager to assure quality delivery.
- Ensure solution can be build, installed to meet the client’s needs and meeting the customer expectation.
- Obtain training of new product and technologies to be able to consult the technical team members.
- Provide documentation and training as needed to other groups within network Implementation.
- Have a working knowledge and use industry best practices for the technologies supported for various network.
- Interface with other organizations to improve and implement processes, procedures, and automation.
- Perform configurations and implementations of client solutions as needed per management.
- The ability to multitask between several complex solutions, ability to coordinate, orchestrate, and communicate effectively with other technologists and business partners to maintain high service levels in a demanding environment.
- Knowledge of industry best practices for supporting Network Technologies
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
- Experience in troubleshooting complex network solutions.
- Working knowledge of various network products such as SD WAN, IPVPN, DIA and HSIP
- Practical 3rd line experience in the installation and troubleshooting of infrastructure devices, including routers and switches.
- Understand network design for routed and hybrid solutions.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding and practical experience of Cisco routers and switches and related IOS
- Has an understanding and practical experience of Juniper EX Series
- Demonstrable experience with all IP Routing protocols to a CCNP or JNCIA level

**Desired skills**:
Experience in support or implementation of BGP, MPLS and SD WAN
Working towards CCNP / CCDA / JNCIS or equivalent experience
Experience with Security deployments and configuration
ITIL 4.0 Foundation
