**Job Description**:
Role Purpose:
To assist the Head of Finance in the following matters:

- ensuring the monthly financial close are done on time in accordance with timeline predetermined by local management, US HQ, International division, and other relevant parties
- ensuring financial reporting required to both internal and external stakeholders (MAS returns, IRAS GST returns, AFS etc.) are prepared with accuracy and submitted on time
- overseeing finance operations ensuring payments and receipts are processed on time and with accuracy by the finance team
- assisting in IFRS17 implementation
- assisting in US/International initiatives (XL Pro for reinsurance and ERP Oracle replacing PeopleSoft etc.)
- reviewing and streamlining work processes for greater efficiency
- providing guidance to staff and to assist HOF to develop the team professionally to uplift the skills level of the finance team
- undertaking any other finance duties as may be assigned

Key Performance Indicators:

- timely financial close
- accurate financial reports
- timely returns to regulators
- IFRS17 Timely implementation
- improved financial controls and processes

Key Relationships:

- Home Office / International Finance, IT
- Local management, Ops team, Department heads
- External auditors, Tax Agent, MAS (on submissions and queries covering HOF in her absence), IRAS
- Consultants

Reporting Staff:

- 1 Accountant

Required Competencies/Experience:

- Leadership
- Business focused with strong analytical capabilities
- Experience in managing people and teams
- More than 8 years of experience in regulatory reporting space
- Experience in system and projects implementation (preferred)

Required Skills/Knowledge:

- Good verbal and written communications
- Good knowledge in financial accounting standards with appreciation of USGAAP
- IFRS17 knowledge
