[What the role is]
The Policy Planning Department (POPD) is responsible for the formulation of strategic policies related to environmental protection and public health.

[What you will be working on]

As an Assistant Manager/ Manager/ Executive Manager in POPD, you will work closely in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, and be involved in the following:

- Formulate and work on key policies and new emerging areas in line with NEA strategic priorities, taking into account factors such as international developments, WOG agenda, technological & research advancements.
- Participate in cross-departmental workgroups on public health and environmental protection issues.
- Coordinate NEA’s input in preparation for Committee of Supply budget debate, legislative amendments, and replies to Parliamentary Questions.
- Other duties as assigned.

[What we are looking for]

The job might be for you if you possess the following qualities:

- At least 1 - 2 years of experience in policy-making and/or strategic planning and/or inter-agency work, would be preferred.
- Passion for environmental protection and adept at engaging both industry and public stakeholders.
- Adaptable and able to handle diverse work scopes.
- Highly self-motivated; resourceful and resilient.
- Possess strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous, with an eye for detail.
- Able to work under tight timelines.
- Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge or experience with economic analysis/cost-benefit analysis/data analysis would be an advantage.
