- Activity centered on Singapore, in a business area which can extend from Middle East to Asia-Pacific region.
- Integrated in a team of 28 trading operators, within which the jobholder is the technical support for quantity and quality issues for crude, petroleum products, LPG, biofuels and petrochemicals.

**Activities**
Tasks are all these of a Blending Advisor, of a Product Quality Surveyor, of a Marine Claims/Cargo Loss Controller- Liaise and visit the terminals used by the group in Singapore to monitor closely their schedule/berthing prospects in order to minimize the demurrage risk of the vessel operations.
- Assessment of storage facilities prior conclusion of storage agreements.
- Follow quantity and quality issues of loading and discharging processes.
- Be on site for some loading/discharge operations to make sure that international rules/guidelines are followed.
- Check quality of services rendered by inspection companies and terminals used (or to be used) by the group.
- Participate with the Trading Operations General Manager of the Singapore Office to the regional interactions with inspection companies.
- Follow the full products blending process from theoretical blends to hand blends and actual physical blends liaising with trading operators, traders and the laboratory.
- Monitor some hand blends and/or quality testing of cargoes in inspectors or refineries laboratories.
- Ensure that quality meet specifications required and bring full technical support to trading operators in the choice of inspection companies and actions to be taken.
- In liaison with group’s Loss Control, keep updated on latest international rules/guidelines/regulations linked with quality testing and quantity measurement in order to bring accurate information and full technical support to trading operators and traders.
- In coordination with group’s Loss Control, attend regional meetings of international committees concerning regulations on oil transportation, quantity or quality control.
- Prepare statistical data on oil movements or quality trends for internal use or for presentation to third parties.
- Prepare quantity/quality claims raised by the group in the area. Negotiate claims placed against group entities.

**Context and environment**
- The jobholder is liaising permanently with trading operators, traders, terminals and inspection companies.
- The jobholder should be able to travel overseas at any time in order to protect the Company interests. The position requires being flexible and quick in bringing the advice and technical support as the decision taken by trading operators and traders needs to be taken promptly as well.**Objectives**
- Brings technical knowledge and support for quality and quantity issues, storage plants assessments to the Singapore office.
- Minimizes the risk of cargo losses or quality deterioration.
- Controls the blending and/or doping by additives of a cargo.
- Minimizes the demurrage costs, the claims costs, the inspection costs.
- Former master mariner (experience on oil carriers) with a good knowledge of oil products and crude,
