GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Julius Baer is a leading Swiss private bank, a premium brand in global wealth management, and the largest pure play wealth manager in Singapore. You will be part of the Regulatory Business Transformation (RBT) team, a global setup focused on Change the Bank activities with a regulatory background within the COO Division, and reporting to the Head Regulatory Business Transformation Asia. RBT is responsible for analyzing the regulatory impact on business models, tools and processes and developing pragmatic solutions together with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Business and IT.

**YOUR CHALLENGE**:**KEY FEATURES and accountabilities**
The role of a Regulatory Transformation Expert offers a complex job profile combining internal consulting with ownership responsibility for specific deliverables within the Bank’s broad project portfolio. For this challenging role, we are looking for a senior expert with both, extensive project experience and regulatory know-how (including the ability to read quickly into new regulatory topics).

Key features of the role include:
**Legal & Regulatory Consulting**:

- Provide regulatory expertise in a broad number of areas (e.g. corporate governance, data protection, technology risk management, consumer protection and other risk management topics)
- Support the respective project teams and product owners (e.g. by providing regulatory/legal analysis as basis for management decisions, drafting of memos, developing internal policies and guidelines, performing regulatory validation of concepts and specifications, etc.)
- Analyze the impact of new regulations on the bank’s business and processes
- Translate legal or regulatory requirements into business requirements and action plans for process designs and IT solutions.

**Project Management**:

- Taking ownership and delivery responsibility for standalone regulatory projects and regulatory streams within larger programmes (project management)
- Project structuring & planning, task tracking, managing budget, performing management updates, moderate steering committees etc.
- Drive stakeholder alignment across CRO and other control functions as well as Business & IT
- Define and align with IT regarding the business requirements of new IT-based regulatory processes and tools
- Manage cross-functional project teams including external consultants and potential line management responsibility for RBT junior staff

**Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management**:

- Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

**YOUR PROFILE**:**SKILLS REQUIREMENTS**
**Professional and Technical**:

- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Law (preferred) or regulatory audit/consulting background in banking
- 8-10 years plus experience in regulatory transformation projects in the financial sector, preferably within APAC, including but not limited to Hong Kong & Singapore.
- Strong knowledge of key regulations and respective processes such as AML/KYC, Consumer Protection (i.e. Suitability, Regulatory Pricing), Customer Confidentiality, Data Privacy, Corporate Governance, and other risk management topics
- Extensive experience in both business analysis and project management a must
- Familiarity with Regtech solutions and regulatory assessment for Fintech solutions in general (e.g. MAS guidelines on technology risk management and outsourcing).
- Solid knowledge of private banking products and processes
- Experience in (SAFe) Agile working environment an asset
- Prior experience in consulting is a strong asset
- International work experience or working in an international Bank is a strong asset
