**Responsibilities**
- Perform mechanical installation checks, functional tests, and pre-commissioning activities on mechanical systems and equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, valves, piping systems, HVAC).
- Assist in the execution of system flushing, leak testing, alignment, and torqueing activities as per commissioning procedures.
- Support system handover processes from construction to commissioning, ensuring all punch list items are addressed.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, equipment drawings, and technical manuals to verify system integrity and readiness.
- Collaborate with commissioning engineers and supervisors to ensure timely and safe start-up of mechanical systems.
- Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with HSE standards, site regulations, and project requirements.
- Complete necessary documentation, test reports, and logs for commissioning records.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical faults or deviations during commissioning and assist in corrective actions.

**Requirements**:
**Education**:

- Minimum NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

**Experience**:

- At least 5-10 years of relevant hands-on experience in mechanical commissioning, preferably in oil & gas, marine, shipyard, or heavy industrial projects.

**Certifications**:

- Valid SSIC (Shipyard Safety Instruction Course) certification.
- Valid medical cert, preferably OGUK. (Optional)Any other yard-specific certifications as required by project/site.

**Skills & Knowledge**:

- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical systems, including equipment installation and commissioning procedures.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), isometric drawings, and technical manuals.
- Experienced in performing mechanical processes such as system flushing, leak testing, bolt torquing, and component alignment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting mechanical issues.

**Other Requirements**:

- Willing and able to work night shifts, as required by project schedules and operational needs.
- Comfortable working in dynamic project environments, including shipyards worksites.
- Capable of performing job responsibilities in confined spaces or at heights, in compliance with safety guidelines and risk assessments.
- Knowledgeable in safety protocols, with a strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance.
