In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact as you lead the Data Insights team, which influences decisions on products used by millions of customers every day. You'll partner with other exceptional leaders across the organization, including those in product management, software engineering, data engineering, marketing, design, and more.

**Role responsibilities**:
As associate director of Data Insights you will be responsible for:

- Defining the strategy and organizational design for the Data Insights team.
- The organizational and technical leadership for the company's global data analysts.
- Driving the Analyst Leadership team to ensure global consistency in the quality and standards of data analyst support across the company.
- People management for Data Insight Leads based in the Asia region, and skip-level management for their direct reports.
- Reporting directly to the Director of Data, and being part of the Data & Experimentation Tribe leadership team to define and drive the company's data strategy.
- Leading by example with a "business-first" approach to data insights—building partnerships with other leaders across the company to create a strategy for how the Data Insights team's support can be developed and optimized.
- Continuing to grow and nurture the existing data analyst community, ensuring that it remains inclusive and collaborative.
- Ensuring that the data analyst career path tools and content are fit for purpose and consistently applied amongst people managers.
- Establishing a solid approach to identifying skill and knowledge gaps amongst the data analyst community, and developing diverse and innovative solutions to support them.
- Communicating with clarity and tailoring messages to various audiences, including executives and data analysts, while possessing an innate ability to reduce complex ideas and messages down to a simple narrative.
- Continuing to** **develop yourself, growing** **your data leadership experience as the head of a positive, and high-performing team.

**Role requirements**:

- Leading a function or department** **of at least 10 people, with responsibilities including organizational design, performance reviews, and skip-level management, mentoring, coaching, career plans, etc.
- Between 8-10 years of extensive data analysis experience, with a proven track record of delivering tangible business value through data-driven insights.
- Defining a clear data strategy for the company or specific business domains, identifying opportunities and resources for leveraging data to drive value, and establishing partnerships when needed.
- Skilled in making connections and building effective relationships at a strategic level, with the ability to effectively collaborate with other leaders, and solve complex problems.
- You have a business-first** **approach, by prioritizing the understanding of the business problem to define the scope of work, with any resulting insights telling a compelling story. You are excited and eager to grow and develop others in this area.
- You recognize the importance of defining processes and standards** **in driving consistency and quality, while balancing the need for structure with flexibility to avoid overly-restricted environments that may limit innovation and creativity.
- You have excellent communication skills, where you are able to engage and influence people across the company at all levels, across cultures, and time zones.
- Building a culture of collaboration within the team, promoting a culture of mutual support both in terms of problem-solving and growth, including both formal and informal coaching and mentorship.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
