Supply Chain Warehouse Manager

Meranti Power Pte Ltd (MP), a fully owned subsidiary of the Energy Market Authority, is expanding its team to support the commissioning and operations of new power generation units on Jurong Island. We are currently in the project construction phase and are seeking committed individuals to join us during this exciting stage. This position is required to work closely with appointed Consultants to ensure timely construction completion and a smooth transition to operations.

The Supply Chain Warehouse Manager shall report to Head, Supply Chain.

**GENERAL OVERVIEW**:

- This role is part of the Supply Chain Department that is responsible for procurement and warehouse services across Meranti Power’s operational domains. He/she will support the Head of Supply Chain in managing warehouse operations safely and efficiently, in alignment with policies, industry standards, and all relevant regulations. Key areas of focus include:

- Achieve Zero Warehouse incidents for Safety and Security
- Warehouse Setup
- Warehouse Operations
- Inventory Management
- Development and Regular Review of Warehouse Policies and Standard Operating Procedures

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILTIES**:
This role will undertake the following activities:

- Setup warehouse operations at our Jurong Island site.
- Oversee all warehousing activities, including receiving, storage, handling, goods receipt, and issuance.
- Develop and optimise warehouse layout for efficient space utilisation.
- Establish, implement and regularly review warehouse policies and procedures
- Prepare and manage annual warehouse budgets and capital programs in coordination with Finance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and vision in all warehouse operations.
- Develop and track performance metrics for warehouse and inbound materials.
- Inventory Accuracy and Control
- Achieve a minimum of 98% inventory accuracy.
- Conduct weekly transaction-based cycle counts and a full annual physical inventory count.
- Inventory Sufficiency & Reporting:

- Ensure a robust and responsive supply chain by maintaining spares inventory at or above safety stock levels, except in cases of factors beyond Meranti Power's control.
- Generate and review reports from the Inventory Management System (e.g., Maximo/WMS) comparing Stock vs. Safety Stock levels.
- Implement and operationalise the warehouse module in Maximo/WMS to support tracking, reporting, and inventory optimisation.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and performance targets.
- Lead and develop warehouse personnel and contractor teams.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security.
- Ensure audit readiness and full compliance with warehouse audit requirements.
- Interface effectively with cross-functional stakeholders through strong communication and stakeholder management.
- Perform any other ad-hoc tasks or special projects as assigned.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Education related to Supply Chain Management field.
- 10-15 years of relevant warehouse management experience, preferably in the power or infrastructure sector.
- At least 5 years of experience in a team leadership role.
- Experience managing change in dynamic environments.
- Forklift license (preferred).
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience in inbound materials management and warehouse policy/SOP development.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance, workplace safety, and health standards relevant to power generation operations in Singapore.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working under tight schedules with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Willing to work in Jurong Island.
