Freelance Associate Lecturer

**Freelance Associate Lecturer for Physiotherapy (PT) Assistant / Occupational Therapy (OT) Assistant Course, Healthcare Skills Academy**

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced PT or OT to join our team as Freelance Associate Lecturer and contribute to the education of aspiring therapy assistants.

**Responsibilities**

As an Freelance Associate Lecturer for PT or OT Assistant course, you will play a vital role in training and preparing students for careers as physiotherapy or occupational therapy assistants. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative training programmes, guiding students through their education, and helping them become competent and compassionate healthcare professionals. The key responsibilities are as follows:
1. **Course Instruction**: Develop and deliver instructional content related to physiotherapy or occupational assistant programmes, ensuring alignment with curriculum objects and industry standards;
2. **Practical Training**: Conduct hands-on training sessions, demonstrations and clinical simulations to help students develop essential skills in physiotherapy or occupational support and patient care.

3. **Supervision**: Oversee students during clinical placements, providing guidance and feedback to ensure that they meet clinical competency requirements.

4. **Assessment and Evaluation**: Design and administer assessments, practical examinations, and evaluations to measure students’ understanding and progress.

5. **Mentorship**: Provide academic and career guidance to students, fostering a supportive and conducive learning environment.

6. **Collaboration**: Collaborate with fellow faculty members and administrative staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning experience.

7. **Compliance**: Ensure adherence to accreditation and regulatory standards in physiotherapy assistant education.

**Qualifications**:

- At least a Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy (for PT Assistant course) / Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy (for OT Assistant course);
- Obtained Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) or Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) ;
- Currently registered as a physiotherapist or occupational therapist;
- At least 3 years of experience in physiotherapy or occupational therapy role;
- Strong knowledge of physiotherapy or occupational therapy principles, techniques, and practices;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring future healthcare professionals;
- Proficient in relevant software and educational tools
- Commitment to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.

**Job Type**: Freelance

Pay: From $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 24 per week
