**What the role is**
**What you will be working on**
As a Manager in the Animal Population Management Section of the Community Animal Management Division, you will be involved in animal population research studies. These include implementing fieldwork study on community animal ecology (i.e., stray cats and dogs). You will assist with population surveys to estimate the free-roaming dog (FRD) population and also assist with studying the movement of the FRDs using tracking technology. You will be involved in field work, data collection, statistical analysis, and scientific report writing.
**What we are looking for**
- Degree in Ecology, Animal Behaviour, Environmental Science, Biology, Life Sciences or related discipline
- Keen interest in research and field work
- Prior experience in ecological field work, data collection, research and statistical analysis is preferable
- Independent, self-motivated and able to carry out research tasks with little supervision
- Willing to work weekends and after office hours
- Possess good writing and communication skills
- Competent in Microsoft Office Applications
- Preferably possess a Class 3 vehicle licence
