Director / Deputy Director (Group Internal Audit)

Singapore TOT TOTE Board Full time

Reporting to the Head of Tote Board Group Internal Audit, you are in charge of carrying out IT and integrated audits on the Tote Board Group entities, comprising of Tote Board, Singapore Pools (Private) Limited and Singapore Turf Club to ensure robust governance, risk management and internal controls in the Group.

**Responsibilities**

The key responsibilities include:

- Develop risk-based IT audit plans, workflows and timeline for Tote Board Group
- Lead, supervise, monitor and/or perform planned IT audits for the three entities of the Tote Board Group which includes audits in the following areas:

- Independent system development life cycle audit to ascertain that controls and processes are in place for the successful implementation of all any IT systems
- Lead, supervise, monitor activities relating to Integrated Audits for Tote Board Group
- Direct and manage all internal audit activities in relation to Data Analytics
- Lead a team to plan and execute IT system audits or integrated business process audits
- Provide independent and objective assurance designed to add value and improve the Group’s business processes and internal control systems
- Conduct as appropriate, any special review, ad-hoc projects or investigations as requested by the Audit and Risk Committee or Management
- Validating and tracking audit issue to ensure control issues are effectively resolved
- Ensure proper documentation and conclusion on the results of audit tests and overall effectiveness of controls, adhering to internal guidelines
- Report audit findings and recommendations through formal reports to clearly communicate risks and core audit issues the management and the Audit and Risk Committee

**Requirements**:

- Tertiary education in Accountancy, Finance, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent, and professional qualifications such as CIA or CISA will be advantageous
- Minimum 10 years of risk-based experience in IT and integrated audits with Big 4 accounting firms and/or as an internal auditor with established /public listed conglomerate/Singapore government agencies, with at least 5 years of leadership experience.
- Good understanding of internal controls, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, auditing standards and accounting principles
- Proven people managing experience required
- Ability to evaluate business processes and technology, identify risks and evaluate controls
- Possess good business acumen and have an inquisitive mind
- Meticulous, highly analytical, process-driven self-starter with the ability to work independently and as a team member
- Able to handle and analyze business data
- Good interpersonal skills, able to work in diverse environment and build good working relationships with business counterparts
- Good report-writing and communication skills
