You will also conduct tests to inform the maintenance and repair of marine vessels.

**Marine Engineer Responsibilities**:

- Conducting research and tests to inform the design and construction of marine vessels and equipment.
- Preparing technical reports such as systems diagnostics documentation.
- Supervising all aspects of the mechanical and electrical systems.
- Overseeing the construction of marine vessels and equipment to ensure their quality and integrity.
- Performing quality control inspections and tests on all systems and equipment and installing upgrades, as needed.
- Ensuring adherence to safety precautions and project timelines.
- Assisting and supervising engineering teams.
- Performing maintenance on marine equipments.
- Investigating and diagnosing technical issues and implementing effective repairs.

**Marine Engineer Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical marine engineering or similar.
- Professional engineer certification preferred.
- Physically fit and able to work onboard vessels in strenuous circumstances and harsh weather conditions.
- Possessed STCW III/1 or Similar Experience
- Experience with MTU, Caterpillar, Volvo and MAN engines
- Experience with all brand generators
- Min 10 years experience as an engineer or similiar on yachts
- Familiarity with original factory warranty terms.
- Experience with a variety of engineering processes including mechanical, electrical, and software.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Having a good command of spoken and written English.
- Confident personality with great attitude towards crew
- Mature, meticulous, resourceful, organized, and able to work independently and under pressure.
- Strong communication, supervisory and interpersonal skills.
- Possesses excellent trouble shooting and expert technical engineering skills as well as thorough knowledge of the wide variety of engineering systems onboard.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Ability to remain calm and give directions in an emergency situation.
