**About the role**

The AVP/VP of Strategy & Engagement will join Temasek’s Community Stewardship (CS) team. The CS team supports Temasek’s role as a Trusted Steward and is responsible for community investments into our mandate of connecting people, uplifting communities, protecting the planet and advancing capabilities in Singapore and beyond.

The role will be instrumental in the development and execution of community investment strategies, ensuring that the team is at the forefront of anticipating trends and best practices, and able to identify value creation opportunities for maximum societal impact across Temasek’s non-profit ecosystem, in Singapore and key markets where we operate.

He/she should possess excellent time-management and organisational habits, experience navigating and influencing a cross-functional, matrixed organisation, and the ability to clearly communicate and present information to senior stakeholders.

**What you’ll do**
- You will support the Director of Strategy & Engagement in developing community investment strategies that help shape priorities:

- Lead the identification of emerging global/local trends, best practices, opportunities and threats that impact community needs.
- Develop frameworks/toolkits and build internal capabilities to monitor, analyse and anticipate the trends.
- Drive appropriate investments in community through informed decision backed by data and research
- Work closely with CS team colleagues to support the implementation of strategies to achieve the desired outcomes.
- Generate actionable insights for internal and external stakeholder engagements.
- Build, maintain and communicate strategy reports for internal engagements with senior stakeholders.
- Support in the engagement of Temasek’s ecosystem of corporates and non-profits to share insights and drive collaborative giving for impact.
- Aid in assessing and developing new models of funding and partnerships for various initiatives.
- Contributing to as a management team member to the wider Community Stewardship team through involvement in projects across workstreams.
- Assist the Director on any other tasks/projects as and when assigned.

**What we’re looking for**
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of strategy consulting/advisory, corporate strategic planning, or related experience.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to use data to quickly to identify the highest value priorities and develop strategies to pursue them.
- Demonstrate resourcefulness to work and thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment, to process changes in direction quickly while maintaining a high quality of output; embraces ambiguity.
- Clear and concise communicator with the ability to synthesise multiple sources of information quickly, identify the key take-aways, and derive actionable insights.
- Strong skills in business writing and developing presentations for senior audiences.
- Balance attention to detail with timely execution.
- Self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and to work independently.
- Collaborator who is able to work well within diverse teams and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- A passion for social causes is a plus.
