Sr. Dir, Supply Chain

As a leader in Lam’s Global Supplier Management organization, this critical position requires a passionate, driven leader who will architect and deliver strategic directions to the organization’s supply chain, ensuring the company is positioned to be a winner in a complex, fast paced, highly competitive industry. Initial focus will be to architect commodity supply chain to support a growing global business with a high degree of complexity. This includes aligning resources, defining and prioritizing strategies, establishing targets, and implementing growth and cost initiatives that support the broader business strategy

This executive position resides within the Global Operations Supply Chain organization and reports to the head of Strategic Commodities. This person will collaborate with the Executive management team, Supply Chain Executives and Product Group Executives. Location of the position is in Singapore or Penang and will include worldwide travel.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop a 3-year vision, strategy, and organizational structure for assigned commodities. The strategy should enhance competitive differentiation and address commodity availability, quality, and cost. Your focus area will be managing suppliers for Gas Delivery for Lam’s worldwide product needs.
- Lead teams Commodity teams that include Strategic Commodity Managers and Supply Chain Business Managers.
- Provide inspired leadership and direction to the global supply chain organization. Continue to build and develop a world class team in an environment where successful people want to work.
- You & your team will be responsible for architecting and delivering a complete end to end strategy that supports Lam’s 3-year horizon
- Supplier selection (Expansion & consolidation) that meet business needs
- Deliver & focus supplier investments (R&D & capacity expansions) that are aligned with Lam’s needs
- Responsible for commercial negotiation that result in achieving annual objectives for cost, quality, lead time & flexibility.
- Lead operational performance for the commodities to enable all Lam’s factory outputs

- Establish effective means to govern/monitor suppliers’ performance and hold supply chain counterparts accountable
- Develop, implement and execute inventory strategies to support product lead times and operational flexibility
- Develop, train and mentor a large team of supply chain professionals across a global footprint,
- Execute the global geo Vision, and support transition activities
- Engage and collaborate with customers and suppliers to manage the relationship on product issue identification, problem resolution and total experience.
- Identify and anticipate problems and risks within the supply chain in advance and address those issues in advance of and to avoid a critical situation.

**Qualifications**
- Experience in executive leadership role within a global matrix managed multi-site company with manufacturing and supplier operations spread over multiple continents with at least $1 billion in revenue.
- Has extensive experience interfacing with customers and suppliers and managing these relationships on product issue identification, problem resolution and total experience.
- Demonstrated business orientation and proactive leadership that identifies and anticipates problems, issues, and risks to project outcomes and manages those issue in advance of a critical situation.
- Demonstrated success at using rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
- Proven record of leading and developing a high performing team. Demonstrated ability to maintain and engage staff.
- Interpersonal and leadership skills across multiple cultures in North America, Europe and Asia
- Be able to lead and influence technically strong employees and stakeholders.

- Executive presentation skills for internal and external executive presentations
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma Master blackbelt preferred
- Experience in Semi-Conductor or High Tech Industry preferred.
- Experience in Gas Boxes Commodity Management
- A minimum of 15 years of professional experience, preferably with a minimum of 5 years in executive management roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Operations, Supply Chain, or Engineering Equivalent, MBA or equivalent post graduate qualification desirable
