**[What the role is]**

PRINCIPAL/ SENIOR/ EXECUTIVE ENGINEER (SOLUTION ARCHITECT - CLOUD AFC & PAYMENTS)

**[What you will be working on]**

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Solution Architect to play a key role in the modernisation of Singapore’s Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system, which supports Account-Based Ticketing & Card-Based Ticketing, to deliver seamless, secure, and scalable public transport experience. This is a high-impact opportunity to contribute to the digital transformation of Singapore’s public transport systems and we are looking for experienced solution architects to help lead this transformation.
- Architect and design secure, scalable, and high-availability system solutions for AFC and payment systems, including those using **EMV**, open-loop standards, account-based ticketing and card-based ticketing models.
- Lead cloud solutioning and migration strategies, particularly for **AWS-based deployments**, ensuring alignment with LTA’s cloud adoption roadmap.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (project teams, software development teams, operations) and external partners (vendors, financial institutions) to develop robust and future-ready solutions.
- Analyse business and system requirements and translate them into high-level and detailed technical specifications and interface designs.
- Perform **technical impact analysis**for change requests and system enhancements, ensuring mínimal disruption to mission-critical AFC operations.
- Produce and maintain architecture diagrams, API/interface specifications, integration patterns, and designs for complex multi-vendor and multi-system environments
- Contribute to architecture governance, cloud best practices, security controls, and system resiliency planning.
- Conduct **solution walkthroughs, architecture reviews, and technical presentations**for internal and external stakeholders.

**[What we are looking for]**
- Strong knowledge in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience designing or supporting cloud-based systems (preferably AWS).
- Familiarity with e-payment technologies, particularly in the context of fare collection, transaction clearing, and EMV-based systems.
- Strong communication skills, system design analysis and ability to resolve complex multi-stakeholder issues
- Experience with stakeholder management and working in complex, multi-vendor environments.

Bonus Skills:

- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate/Professional) are strongly preferred
