Are you passionate about the culinary arts and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment? We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Cook/Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic team.
As a Commis Cook/Kitchen Helper, you will play a crucial role in assisting our chefs and kitchen staff in preparing and serving delicious meals to our valued customers.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and slicing ingredients.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
- Help in assembling and garnishing dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Support the kitchen team in receiving and storing food supplies and ingredients.
- Maintain proper food handling and hygiene practices to ensure food safety.
- Assist with dishwashing and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen area.
- Follow instructions from chefs and supervisors to meet the demands of the kitchen efficiently.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and regulations.
**Requirements**:
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals who are passionate about learning.
- Basic knowledge of food handling and safety procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects when necessary.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per scheduling requirements.
- Meal will be provided.
