**About the Role**

As a Senior Audit Manager, Markets in our Institutional Audit team you will embody Internal Audit's value proposition of "Supporting the Bank to move at pace, safely through our enterprise-wide lens and independence to deliver what matters for our customers, the Board and regulators". The Senior Audit Manager supports the Audit Director (Markets) in designing assurance activities, co-ordinates their delivery and drives the provision of timely, relevant assurance and insights over the Markets portfolio. The Senior Audit Manager's key accountability is to manage and deliver audits efficiently, and support the Audit Director (Markets) in ensuring appropriate and timely assessment of the risk and control environment across the Markets business

The role has a global outlook and may require occasional travel across ANZ's Institutional network. The role is part of the Markets audit team based in Singapore and works closely with the IA global team based in Australia, Hong Kong, London, New Zealand and other Asian locations to provide Markets insight, expertise and audit delivery. You will be provided with a breadth of exposure across the value chain including product, sales, operations, finance, risk and technology.

**What will your day look like?**

As a Senior Audit Manager, Markets you will;
- Design effective assurance activities for assigned audits, ensuring accurate risk and control identification.
- Deliver assurance within budgeted time and expense limits.
- Provide timely and quality audit tasks, reporting findings and communicating with the business.
- Develop positive and constructive relationships with key business, first, and second-line stakeholders.
- Support the Markets audit team in raising the standard of customer experience.
- Proactively understand the business and share relevant insights with the broader team.
- Deliver quality audit work and reports, supported by proper audit evidence.
- Manage or execute audits in accordance with IA methodology.
- Contribute to the delivery of IA strategy through active participation in strategic initiatives.
- Motivate, guide, and direct staff on audits, driving knowledge sharing and collaboration.

**What will you bring?**

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

- Tertiary qualifications, preferably CPA/CA and/or Postgraduate, with strong technical skills.
- Significant experience in a Markets environment, including internal/external audit, risk management, or assurance, with banking & finance industry knowledge.
- Ability to analyze risk and controls in complex business areas and lead effective assurance projects.
- Proven relationship management skills, effectively working with and influencing senior executives.
- Builds strong networks, demonstrates emotional intelligence, empathy, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker who applies insights for sound business decision-making.
- Focuses on organizational priorities and stakeholder needs to enhance service levels.
- Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills; acts as a trusted advisor.
- Skilled in negotiating, influencing, and conflict management; facilitates cross-team learning.
- Motivates and guides staff on audits, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration.
