**SCRI**

The Singapore Clinical Research Institute (SCRI) is the national academic research organisation
dedicated to enhancing the standards of clinical research, and coordinating clinical trials. Our
mission is to spearhead and develop core capabilities, infrastructure and scientific leadership for
clinical research in Singapore. SCRI also works with the National Medical Research Council
(NMRC) to assist the Ministry of Health (MOH) in implementing clinical trials policy and strategic
initiatives to support and develop clinical research competencies locally. In driving towards its
vision, SCRI collaborates with clinicians to enhance Singapore’s clinical research and strengthen
its expertise in executing multi-site, multi-national studies and the development of regional clinical
research networks.

**What you will be working on**

**The Role**:
**Primary Responsibilities and Duties**

You will support collaborative clinical research by providing expert epidemiology methodology input

and to contribute towards methodology training programmes. Key responsibilities will include:
To collaborate with clinical researchers in the design, conduct, analysis and reporting of
clinical research projects, primarily in non-randomized studies and systematic reviews

To provide methodological consultation services to clinical researchers

To mentor clinical researchers

To conduct seminars and workshops for the training in clinical research methods

To contribute towards the training and support role of the Singapore Branch of the
Australasian Cochrane Centre

To develop a research domain expertise

To continuously seek to improve knowledge of epidemiologic methods

To develop expertise in the use of relevant data analysis software

To maintain the necessary project administration and technical documents

To participate regularly to the Department’s journal club & other meetings

**What we are looking for**
- Bachelor’s degree in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, veterinary medicine or life sciences

and a Master’s degree or higher in epidemiology, public health, health services research,
pharmaco-economics or biostatistics.
- Familiarity with at least one of the major statistical software packages e.g. SPSS, Stat,

SAS, R. Able to effectively communicate research methodology concepts to clinical
researchers.
- Possess good problem solving, communication and organizational skills
- Excellent team player and self-motivated
