You will be part of the Digital Technology Team and together, you will innovate, create, and deploy digital products that will empower more than 3,800 employees within SP Group and improve the quality of life for the 1.6 million commercial, industrial and residential customers that SP Group serves. **What You’ll Do**:
Business and strategy focus
- Understand the business strategy of SP Digital and, identify and onboarding suitable hardware solutions to support business objectives
- Translate problem statements into actionable plans to resolve issues
- Manage vendor contract negotiations and internal approval processes, including legal and finance process
- Active participation in and support of tenders by proposing suitable hardware solutions

Hardware focus
- Accountable for ensuring SP Digital has the correct hardware with the best fit to deliver the necessary client solutions taking into consideration cost, capabilities and technological fit
- Drive hardware product strategy, obtain buy-in for new hardware solutions from related functional groups internally
- Translate product development objectives into appropriate hardware technical specifications to support product development
- Identify use cases and analyse the hardware requirements to meet such use cases
- Examine competitive hardware solutions and develop metrics for comparing product capabilities and total lifecycle cost
- Plan, organize and monitor requirements specifications for hardware in SP Digital
- Document requirements, specifications and use cases for new hardware products
- Manage the hardware product roadmap and hardware lifecycle
- Manage hardware solution partners and their hardware products upgrades, issues, etc.
- Communicate the solution design/requirements to both Product Development, Pre-sales and business teams. Translating and simplifying requirements for these teams
- Work with the Delivery team to enable them to deliver the hardware solutions to our clients
- Work with the Operations team in developing the appropriate inventory levels and strategy for relevant hardware
- Conduct training for sales and presales on new hardware products/solutions or when new development arises

**What You’ll Need**:

- More than five years of experience in hardware product management in a dynamic, agile environment
- Willing to learn new things which might be outside of one’s comfort zone
- Great problem-solving skills, and has experiences in commercial and industrial products, with an excellent analytical mindset and able to learn new tools/software quickly
- Ability to develop hardware product roadmaps and strategic plans as well execution of the plans
- Must be comfortable working with engineering and technical details
- Competent in optimizing hardware solutions based on requirements, value proposition and total lifecycle costs
- Passionate and dynamic self-starter, and a go-getter
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate across different functional teams within SP Digital and with external parties
- Bachelor's or advanced degree, ideally in a technical or quantitative discipline
- Domain knowledge of IoT platforms/solutions and various IoT devices, including gateways and sensors
- Good understanding of communication protocols for both edge and cloud connectivity such as, but not limited to MQTT, DSS, CoAP, Modbus TCP/RTU, BACnet, OPC UA/DA, etc.
