**Visual Art Teacher**
(Singapore - NORTHEAST)

**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
1. Lessons planning and development:

- Design and develop comprehensive art program that cater to students' diverse skill levels, interests, and age groups.
- Plan engaging lessons that incorporate a range of art techniques, mediums, and art history.
- Create reference mock-up/paintings according to the lessons plan to display in the class.

2. Instruction and Demonstration:

- Deliver hands-on and interactive art lessons that inspire creativity and promote technical proficiency.
- Demonstrate a variety of artistic techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and more.
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to students to help them improve their artistic skills.

3. Classroom Management:

- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages artistic exploration and collaboration.
- Manage classroom dynamics, ensuring a respectful and productive learning atmosphere.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and is age-appropriate

4. Individualized Guidance:

- Recognize and nurture each student's unique artistic strengths, interests, and challenges.
- Provide feedback to relevant stakeholders about each student's progress
- Provide personalized guidance and support to help students achieve their artistic goals.

5. Artistic Critique and Portfolio Development:

- Guide more advanced students in building their portfolios for exhibitions, competitions, and further education opportunities.
- Lead group discussions and critiques to help students analyze and discuss their artwork critically.
- Foster a culture of constructive feedback and growth among students.

6. Art History and Theory:

- Incorporate art history, theory, and cultural context into lessons to deepen students' understanding of art's evolution and significance.

7. Workshops and Events:

- Organize and conduct special workshops, art camps, and studio events to engage the community and provide unique learning experiences.
- Facilitate team bonding workshops for corporate clients both in studio and at external location

8. Professional Development:

- Stay up-to-date with current trends, techniques, and developments in the art world. Continuously improve teaching methods.

9. Studio Maintenance:

- Organize and maintain art supplies, tools, and studio spaces to ensure a conducive learning environment.
- Ensure a safe and clean studio space for both students and instructors.
- Plan and present art displays
- Collaborate with other instructors and studio staff to create interdisciplinary projects, cross-promote events, and contribute to the overall growth of the studio.
- Assist in preparing basic marketing & advertising materials when required
- General administration duties (social media uploading, attendance/fee taking, stock taking, etc.)
- Handle walk-in/phone inquiries & sales about our art classes & student's progress
- Communicate with children, parents, teachers, & potential customers

**Qualifications**:

- At least a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Fine/Visual Art Teacher, Art Instructor, or equivalent role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in various art techniques and mediums.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and connect with students of all ages.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for teaching art.
- Independent, willing to learn & show an initiative at handling tasks
- Ability to work collaboratively within a creative and dynamic team.
- Flexibility in adapting teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Familiarity with art history, theory, and contemporary art trends.
- Prior experience in lesson planning and development is a plus.
- Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends, based on class schedules.

Part-time hours: 44 per week

**Salary**: $1,500.00 - $2,800.00 per month
