You will be part of an in-house GIS team responsible for planning, designing, implementing, operating and maintaining GIS Platform for whole of JTC. The work will require you to engage internal and external stakeholders to gather use cases and develop the solution. Your main goal is to increase the usage of GIS in JTC.
- You will plan, design and implement platforms, ensuring that business needs are met without compromising security and compliance to IT policies;
- You will review all operational aspects like performance, reliability and security, to minimize disruptions to daily operations;
- You will scope out requirements and set system baselines driven by business and security needs;
- You will provide timely support to users to resolve issues surfaced, troubleshoot and recommend solutions that are effective;
- You understand emerging technology trends and their impact on our systems

**Requirements**:

- Qualification in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, with 2 - 3 years of work experience in GIS. Relevant technical certifications would be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge and experience in GIS technology (e.g. ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Desktop).
- Experience in.NET framework (VB or C#)
- Experience in Python scripting
- Experience in source code version control and tasks management (e.g. Microsoft Team Foundation Server).
- Experience in the following areas will be an added advantage:

- 3D GIS technology
- Project Management
- Experience with Government IT Policy & Procurement Process
- DevOps (e.g. Jenkins and Ansible)
- Effective presentation, communication and writing skills.
- Strong willingness to learn new things outside your comfort zone.
- Strong interest in exploring new technologies to find the best fit for the requirement and be able to work independently.
